DIGITAL PORTFOLIO REQUIREMENTS
1. Provide an overview of the problem your group was given and what you were required to do for your client.
2. Explain how to obtain the best-possible recommendation for the problem. Be sure to include variable names, constraints and corresponding inequalities, the GeoGebra graph (properly labelled), the expression that you needed to maximize, and an explanation of how you know your recommendation is the best possible (be sure each vertex of the feasible region was tested!).
3. Explain the group roles (what they were responsible for and who was assigned the role).
4. Provide a reflection of your client engagement. Your reflection should include
a. One celebration for each group member, including yourself. Be sure to include the Habits of a Mathematician.
b. Your perspective on how well your group worked together. What did your group do really well? What contributed to that success? What was one challenge your group had? How did you overcome that challenge? If you did not overcome it, what would you do differently to overcome it if you were to do this again?
c. Reflecting on your role, what do you think was your biggest strength in that role? In what ways can you grow in that role (what could you do better with more practice and opportunity)?
1. For this problem we had a client and he/she was a artist who specialized in geometric designs. She/he paints two different types of pictures pastel/ water color, the picture takes the same amount of time to create, the client has only has a certain amount of money to spend ($180.00). Pastel only cost $5.00 to make and water color cost $15.00 to make we had to come up with constraints and that benefited the costumer and see witch constraint gave him a better profit.
2.
3. For this problem each group member had a task and, those task were spokes person, Geogebra, facilitator and documenter. The role for the facilitator was to keep the group on task and contribute to the conversation and share ideas, the Geogebra person was in charge of making the graphs and finding a feasible region and try to convince the client what suited him/her the best. The documenter was in charge to write any important info or charts they thought would be helpful to solve the problem. The spokes person was the person who would talk the most or if we had a presentation he would be the one talking the most of the time during the presentation
4. Well the client seemed semi convinced but she really did push us and made us think more than the other groups and I thought that was good because it made us think more and focussed us more. I think one success that we had is that we had a lot of confidence in our selves and I think that is something everybody should have if they want to succeed in something, even though she wasn't very convinced we're and we weren't really talking to her but she asked really good questions that challenged us and made us think more. I think my group worked well we all did our role perfectly and we all contributed and we share a a lot of our ideas to solve the problem and we were very organized. I think I did great on my role I wrote everything that my group told me to and it really did help looking back at the things we wrote down , something I would like to improve on or make this grow is to talk a little bit more and not always focus on just writing things down .
