Here is a picture of our final product.
In this project we had to work in a group of two or three and I was in a group of three. The people who were in my group were Peter and Nadia, it was nice working with new people and getting to know them, it was also a fun experience and learning how people work differently. I also really liked how we were very organized and knew what we had to do next.
In this project we read a book to Kill a Mocking bird (by Harper Lee). We had to pick a character from the book (we chose Atticus) we also had to pick five major scene that represented the character or our theme ( our theme was there are something you just cant control), we also had to pick 5 literacy device and combined them with the character. We also contributed Physics into this we had to make the marble stay on the roller coaster and we had to have the right amount of velocity for the marble not to drop, we had to make a lot of blueprint and make everything the same height. I learned a lot of things during this project like how prejudice's affected thousands of people back then and that we should always be equal, I also learned how to work in a group and be more organized and to never give up on things you are struggling on because at the end of the project we had a good roller coaster and it was the tallest one.
I think what went well in this project was our roller coaster we had a lot of trouble on it when we first attempted to build it and we were running out of time, we ran behind because we were working to much on the mini models and less time focusing on the roller coaster but at the end we didn't give up and the roller coaster came out fine and we finished our mini models on time as well.
A big struggle for us was making the roller coaster, we had the blueprints but it was not working out and we were kinda getting stressed because we were running out of time and we were really confused why our roller coaster wasn't working. So what we did was try and try and never gave up even tho it was really stressful and the roller coaster turned out just perfect.
I think I did my part in this project when it came to helping and giving ideas and taking things home and finishing them, but I would sometimes procrastinate and I would have to do it at home and I think thats what effected me the most in this project.
I wouldn't change anything about this project I know it was stressful in the beginning but at the end in exabition seeing all those little kids enjoying the roller coaster I was happy I did this project, the roller coaster turned out just fine and the whole thing was great.
